Alkestis

Η Άλκηστις στο κέντρο Τεχνών ΜΒ2 στην Arica της Χιλής, 2019 

Τον Ιανουάριου του 2019 επισκέφτηκα τη Χιλή για δεύτερη φορά. H ομάδα οργάνωσης του κέντρου MB2 είχε πλέον διευρυνθεί, περιλαμβάνοντας πάντα τον Fernando Montanares Letelier, καθώς και τους Paloma De Galvez, Berta Aurora Reyes Plaza, Eduardo Javier Ibacache Luque και Maria Imperio Robles Pavez. Η διαδικασία διήρκεσε 13 ημέρες, με καθημερινές πρόβες και μαθήματα πάνω σε μια διασκευή που είχα κάνει στην «Άλκηστη» του Ευριπίδη. Η διδασκαλία στηρίχτηκε στην τεχνική «ακούω με το σώμα και επικοινωνώ με όλες μου τις αισθήσεις», μία εξέλιξη της μεθόδου «Spiral effect», που δίνει τη δυνατότητα δημιουργίας δυναμικών συστημάτων υψηλής ενεργειακής απόδοσης. Η σκηνοθεσία είχε στοιχεία από τη Λατινική Αμερική, όπως έθιμα από την Ημέρα των Νεκρών –Dia de los Muertos–, διασκευή χορών της Χιλής (Caporal) και τραγούδια της Chavela Vargas και της Violeta Parra. Η παράσταση πραγματοποιήθηκε δύο φορές στις 13 Ιανουαρίου, στον χώρο που διατηρεί το MB2, διήρκησε 50 λεπτά και σε αυτήν συμμετείχαν 22 άτομα (μαθητές σχολείων της Αρίκα, σπουδαστές θεάτρου από το Σαντιάγο, επαγγελματίες ηθοποιοί από το Περού και τη Χιλή, καθώς και ένας μουσικός).
Η παράσταση αυτή ήταν μια γιορτή αναγέννησης, γεμάτη μουσική και χορό, που έφερε τις δύο χώρες πιο κοντά, με όχημα το έργο του Ευριπίδη και τα παραδοσιακά έθιμα της Λατινικής Αμερικής.

Alkestis in Mb2 Arica / Chile 2019

In January 2019 I visited Chile for the second time. This time the MB2 production team had expanded, always including Fernando Montanares Letelier as well as Paloma De Galvez, Berta Aurora Reyes Plaza, Eduardo Javier Ibacache Luque and Maria Imperio Robles Pavez. The process lasted 13 days, with daily rehearsals and lessons on an adaptation I did in Euripides' “Alkestis”. The teaching was based on the technique “I listen with the body and communicate with all my senses”, an evolution of my method “The Spiral effect”, which enables the creation of dynamic systems of high energy efficiency. The direction had elements from Latin America, such as customs from the Day of the Dead –Dia de los Muertos–, adaptation of Chilean dances (Caporal) and songs by Chavela Vargas and Violeta Parra. The performance took place twice on January 13 at the MB2, lasted 50 minutes and was performed by 22 people (young students from Arica schools, theater students from Santiago, professional actors from Peru and Chile, and a musician). 
This performance was a renaissance celebration, full of music and dance. It brought Chile and Greece closer through the work of Euripides and the traditional customs of Latin America
